Bob Barr at Georgia Tech

I just saw Bob Barr speak on campus. The venue's capacity is under 200, and it was not entirely full. Quite pathetic.

"Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job." - The Restaurant at the End of the Universe, Douglas Adams

I think it clarified both why he should be President, and why he won't get many votes. He spoke clearly and rationally. His discussion of federal government actually mentions the US Constitution.

How boring. Americans hate the Constitution. If you want attention, you have to promise to spend our money. Voters love that.

I've been thinking about a word to describe the collective two parties ("big government, or really big government") which rule the nation with no fear of losing power. For a while I was toying with Republocrat. That sounds a bit silly. I've decided to refer to them as The Party, for the apt Orwell allusion.

It's not too late. You do still have the option to vote against The Party. Please consider it.
